Walter Elias Disney was born in the year 1901, December 5,in Chicago. He spent his childhood in Marceline, Missouri and was keenly interested in drawing and art. At the age of 21, he was able to manage well to reach the top in the field of cartoon world. Walter got married to Lillian Bounds in the year 1925, July 13 and they were blessed with Mickey mouse after three years of their marriage. He had two daughters named Diane and Sharon. Lillian herself persuaded her husband Walt to name his mouse character Mickey instead of naming it as Mortimer.

Walter is best known through out the world for building Walt Disney Studios as one of the best entertainment corporation. Some of the memorable characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy were created by Walt Disney and he has won many awards for his animated movies. He is mainly responsible for creating a theme park like Disney Land with huge variety of characters and many attractions that can be enjoyed by the people who visit it.

Disney is popularly known for the common people as a film producer and a show man. He has won nearly 26 academy awards and seven Emmy awards in his life time. The annual revenues of the The Walt Disney Company are approximately $35 billion. Once upon a time in his youth Walt used to work as paper boy and worked for walter Lantz as an animator for few days.

Walt Disney death caused due to lung cancer. Walt was diagnosed with lung cancer as he used to smoke a lot of unfiltered Lucky strikes and French cigarettes which are called the lung busters. His health condition was deteriorating day by day and finally he was admitted in St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank on November 2, 1966. He was experiencing pain both at the back and in his neck. He was advised to go for a surgery after he was detected with a tumor in his left lung. Walt underwent a surgery on November 6 and his lung was removed as it proved dangerous for his life. Walt was discharged from th hospital after two weeks of the operation but was again admitted to the hospital on November 30 as he collapsed at home. He was able to spend his 65th birthday in the hospital along with his family and finally Walt Disney death occured on December 15, 1966. Walt disney death was announced as cardiac arrest later according to the certificate issued by the hospital.
